Kroyer Korner

Hi my name is Robin Kroyer-Kubicek, I recently quit my job after 10 1/2 years working for The Blood Center of Southeastern Wisconsin. I am now back in school at UW-Milwaukee earning a teaching certification to teach high school science.

I love teddy bears and have amassed a number of them. We also love camping. Summer in WI was meant to be enjoyed outside. The newest passion in our life is our daughter, Kelly Lynn Kubicek. She keeps us quite busy and exhausted. She was born on September 24, 1999, at 2:08 p.m. in the same hospital room as our son, Joshua. Kelly has light brown hair and bright blue eyes. Kelly weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces and was 21 ½ inches long.

Josh was born on July 29, 1996, at 11:01 a.m. in Brookfield, WI. He weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce and was 21 inches long. He also has light brown hair and bright blue eyes. And just like the poem says , "Monday's child is fair of face..," Joshua is definitely a looker. Of course, I may be biased.

I was born in Laredo, TX in 1964. My father was a F-105 and F-111 pilot in the Air Force and I grew up in a number of different places as we moved from base to base. I went to an American high school when we were stationed in England from 1978 - 1981, and I am actively involved with my High School Alumni Association from that overseas school, Upper Heyford High School.

My parents were originally from WI and I have traced the Kroyer (paternal) branch of the family tree back to my Great-grandfather, Peder, and his brother, John, who came over in 1887 from Denmark. Peder settled in WI and John moved to CA. So, I know there is a whole branch of the family out in CA. My maternal side (Saloff/Holte) has also been traced back Norway in the mid 1800's.
